What We Do
TriStar understands that real estate is a relationship business and that its entrepreneurial people and culture account for the success of the industry.
We co-invest with funds and local operating sponsors to create value through acquisition, development, redevelopment, repositioning and/or recapitalization of real estate assets.
We are interested in evaluating projects for which the local developer has:
- site control
- detailed, realistic financial projections
- a full package of due diligence information
- supporting market information
- a need for additional capital

Our firm is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and conducts business nationwide (US only).
Our team members have extensive backgrounds in financing and development of commercial real estate, including:
- Land development
- Value-add and new construction
We can move quickly through due diligence to deploy equity in investment opportunities. We are able to invest at either the GP or LP level.
Sometimes good projects get stranded by partnership disagreements. TriStar provides capital for partnership buyouts when a viable project would benefit from a substitute partner.

Saying that TriStar provides co-investment equity to funds and developers for their projects does not give the full picture of what we do. Our principals’ backgrounds in development allows us to offer high level support and connections to our partners. In many instances we are able to help developers repackage a project to make it more feasible and financeable.
Many developers do not need assistance, but if requested we will assist with suggestions or introductions when we can add value for developers with which we co-invest.
